Welcome to my Girl Scouts Gold Award Journey!

My Advisor

My Advisor, Gayle Callis, has and will continue to serve as a source of inspiration during this project. Mrs. Callis has an abundance of experience working with the elderly in the Winthrop Senior Center, as well as through other forums. Luckily I was able to find someone just invested in this cause as me!

My Grandmother

My beautiful grandmother, the inspiration of this entire project. She contracted Dementia while still in her 60s, causing me to become privy to such a terrible disease at a young age. Of course, dementia has no cure it is no secret that those frequently socialized do not face the effects of dementia(or Alzhiemers) as quickly and as dramatically. I have seen living proof of this through my grandma's fellow residents.

My Troop

My troop has been here for use through the Bronze, Silver, and now Gold. They are a beautiful and talented bunch of girls who know just how important this project is for me.
